Farming Connect is one of four schemes within the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which focuses on revitalisation of rural communities and provides support for agriculture and forestry in Wales.

Practical guidelines to help companies apply life cycle costing (LCC) and life cycle assessment (LCA) principles to reduce their products' environmental impacts while contributing to greater social and economic well-being. The case studies included in the guide help to show LCC methodology in practice.

These ecodesign guidelines help companies to introduce environmental improvements in their product design processes. They include technical specifications based on general life cycle assessments and previous research and data.

There is specific guidebook for eight different product categories: automotive components, electric and electronic equipment, machine tools, packaging, construction material, furniture, urban furniture, and textiles. Practical examples of the ecodesign methodology for each product category are provided.

ERAS is user-friendly and efficient tool to implement Basque environmental sustainable buildings and rehabilitation guidelines and methods in housing, offices, industry and commerce. It includes a rating system for sustainable buildings based on specific life cycle assessment (LCA) measures, and a sustainable urbanisation method based on the same LCA criteria.

ERAS is ideal for planners and managers integrating environmental sustainability principles into new construction projects, refurbishments or building renovations.

Practical guides to identify environmental problems, detect waste- and emission-reduction actions, and introduce cleaner production measures. The guides include case studies of how companies tackled environmental problems and dealt with relevant legislation to deliver positive business outcomes.

This guide provides criteria and seven handy steps to help companies integrate environmental factors into product and service designs. It is aimed at industrial design companies and/or people involved in product design. The handbook includes four case studies of Basque companies that successfully implemented the steps and the improvements they reported in the product designs and innovation, but also in terms of the environmental benefits (i.e. reduced product weight, minimised energy consumption, etc.) and company image.

Ekoscan provides a working method to help companies, including SMEs, incorporate environmental thinking into their daily business routines by involving the whole company and consolidating internal knowledge. The tool establishes the environment as a management function not just a cost. Performance indicators built into Ekoscan show companies the economic benefit of measures taken in their Environmental Improvement Action Plan.

A series of thematic publications released by the Basque Ecodesign Centre that simplify the technical aspects of emerging environmental themes, such as:

This handbook explains in a visual and clear way how to identify where and how much waste is generated in a company. It helps to map waste-prevention opportunities using the company's premises as a starting point. With this information, management can lay out a waste-minimisation policy and save the company money.

This guide compiles 200 practical tips for companies to reduce waste while saving money. It presents the combined experience of clients and consultants who have collaborated to reduce all kinds of waste including emissions, discharges, etc., in a wide range of industry sectors. The first part of the guide presents the general approach for clean production or waste minimisation, while the second part provides practical advice based on cost-effective industrial examples.
