At the beginning of the project Biomasstradecentre II, partners prepared a list of relevant topics on advanced techniques and technologies in biomass production. This document delineates technical backgrounds for advanced techniques and technologies in biomass production and gives an overview of the latest research and development achievements in this field. The gathered material will be used as background material for the preparation of workshops and trainings.

The Circular Economy Toolkit supports businesses in developing more environmentally sound decisions by identifying circular economy opportunities and providing information on how a company could start finding benefits.

The circular economy challenge is broken down in to seven key opportunities; explaining each of them and giving company examples to see how others are already generating profit out of the circular economy:

National environmental protection programmes in Slovenia aimed at promoting energy efficency and renewables in NGOs. Support includes promotion, training and environmental awareness initiatives.

National environmental protection programmes in Slovenia which help SMEs to carry out and implement an energy audit.

Under this programme, support is given to investments aimed at improving energy efficiency, as well as technological changes in the existing facilities, installations and technical equipment, including: technologies rationalising energy and heat consumption, modernisation of industrial processes in the field of energy efficiency, implementation of energy quality and management systems, as well as implementation of power network management systems in enterprise facilities.

The Competence Platform for Resource Efficiency in Central Europe offers fast access to information on how to improve resource efficiency at company level, including publications, good practices and related events.

The agency supports the Polish economy through measures to improve energy efficiency, while respecting the principles of sustainable development. It offers advice and services in the design and implemention of energy efficient solutions in large and small enterprises. Tools used by the agency identify areas of significant energy consumption and how to reduce it within existing management systems and in line with ISO 50001 standards.

The public-private partnership 'Bio-based Industries' (BBI) was set up as a Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) under Horizon 2020 with a  budget of € 3.7 billion for the period 2014-2020. It focuses on the recycling and conversion of non-edible parts of plants, such as agricultural and forestry residues and wood, as well as biodegradable waste, into various bio-based products and biofuels.for these JTIs. 

Funding is provided for flagship collaborative projects covering industrial research or experimental development, exploratory projects (R&D pilot studies), endowed professorships, as well as individual projects covering experimental development and knowledge transfer under the FFG’s BRIDGE programme.

Eligible costs are: personnel costs, research infrastructure, material costs, travel costs and third-party costs are eligible for funding in accordance with the programme's cost guidelines.
